I'll tell you all about it when I'm in the way to lose my way with words

Dear John Mayer,
What do I do with you? Your new CD is brilliant and wonderful and streaming free on iTunes. It includes a song called Age of Worry that ends with the line, "Worry, get out of here!" And I think I love you. But then I see a picture of your new hair.
What the what? It's like you're channeling Johnny Depp. And not in a good way. In fact, how did I never realize how much you look like Edward Scissorhands? And that's all I have on the matter for now.
Love,
Liz

She's gotta be strong to fight them, so she's taking a lot of vitamins.

I'm pleased to inform you that the sports medicine doctor didn't lie.
This is my feet outside the BYU creamery today.
No boot. No limp. Mostly pain free. I went biking last night and I'm even gonna do yoga tonight.
It's a (Christmas?) miracle!

On a completely unrelated note, did you know that the creamery now sells fry sauce?
You better believe I just ate some on my lunch time sweet potato fries.
yum.

Ma Boot

Tuesday night after a fairly severe bout with what seemed at the time to be shin splints, I looked like this:
I was also fairly certain I was going to die.
Death by melodrama perhaps.
Wednesday I went to my favorite kind of doctor, a sports medicine doctor at the Bountiful clinic.
Turns out it's a bout of tendinitis. Easily fixed by 3-7 days in a boot.
And now I look this this.

Do you think it will match the left half of my mustard yellow flats?

Quotes from my Mark Twain Journal

I recently purchased a journal called The Sayings of Mark Twain. You can bet your hard earned dollar that I love it. Here are some of the reasons why:

I was born modest; not all over, but in spots.

You cain't pray a lie.

If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.

Familiarity breeds contempt-and children.

To believe yourself brave is to be brave.

Go to Heaven for the climate, Hell for the company.

The most interesting information comes from children, for they tell all they know and then stop.

You ought never "sass" old people-unless they "sass" you first.

(and last, but definitely not least...)

What would men be without women? Scarce, sir, mighty scarce.

Spring!

Baseball with these awesome (and good looking) folks? Yes please. Nattalie is not included because she was snapping the shot, but that doesn't mean we don't love her too.

StayFocused

OMGosh. So I was trying to block a website, and my friend Tanner suggested that I try StayFocused. I downloaded it and found out that it actually doesn't let you block websites, but it does let you limit the amount of time you spend on time-wasting websites of your own choosing. If I still had fbook, you'd better believe I would have added it to my list. As I was trying to block a website, I tried to set the maximum amount of time I'm allowed to spend on a site to 0 minutes, but it wouldn't let me, so I changed it to one minute and got the following awesome pop up.
Now, I'm on to find a way that I can actually block a site, but I think that this StayFocused thing might need to be revisited. And for those of you with a love/hate relationship with the fbook, maybe this will help?

Florence

Please can I have this hair?
Except probably the brunette version since I'm not going bright red anytime soon.

Old CD's

Sometimes you pull out a stack of old CDs for the commute. You see one labeled, "New Amsterdams." You put it in. At which point you realize that instead of the New Amsterdams, you're actually listening to Tegan and Sara. Magic marker Liz labeling fail.

Your Hair's Sticking Up in the Back

I was visiting my girl Jenn at work the other day. I was leaning on the counter telling her coworker Adam about my day. At the end of our conversation he said, totally matter of fact,

"Good luck with life. Your hair's sticking up in the back. "

Bah ha ha ha ha. And I loved it.

Instincts

Dear My Instincts,
Thanks for being so trustworthy. I should take your word for it more often.
Liz
