You Know You're a Nurse When (Part 4)

In my crazy complex dream last night, my patient started having a stroke. We couldn't figure out how to page the stroke team, and I spent half an hour trying to track the team down so I could get him to the CT scanner. As I was doing so, my patient checked out AMA, so I did what any bizarre dream version of myself would do: I went to his house, where I called 911 so the paramedics could get him to some definitive care.

  1. Oh man. This reminds me of a dream I had about Melanie Rice. I will find you what I told her about it...I had the weirdest dream last night that I worked in some kind of student health center and this girl from my high school came in and then she later morphed into you. You got some tests done and we found that you had bacterial meningitis, a crushed left hip, a disintegrating bone in your face, and some other, very serious thing. I brought you into my office to talk to you about it, but then people started coming into my office and I realized that we were in someone else's office and I spent like 1/2 hour trying to find my office, but couldn't remember where it was. I finally gave up and asked you if you were going to make an appt with your primary care physician the next day to take care of this big time health problems (which we'd ranked for you and given you 10s!!!!). You said you probably wouldn't because you had too much work to do for a class you were taking from Erin Maughan. I was soooo concerned. Anyway, aren't we glad that dreams aren't real life??? Hope you're doing much better than this!

    And there you go!
