Idaho, Idaho

Dear Idaho,
Not only are you one of the best songs ever written by Josh Ritter, but there is something to be said for your wide open spaces, your small towns, your wind, and the farm boys you do such a good job of raising.

Oh Hey Arms

A little throwback to my favorite commercial from a year or two ago. All I want in life is for my arms to look like Mr. Phelps' do from 8-11 seconds. That might be a). a slight exaggeration or b). untrue. Nonetheless, you gotta admire the athleticism.

Mega Babes

Just got this little foto from my girl Amanda. Summer roommates. Valentine's Dance. Have you ever seen such a good looking bunch of women? It's possible, but not likely. I love them all.

Nice Shirt

Just a tiny bit of library coincidence is all.

Miles Batty

Got the picture here.
Kid's a rock star. He broke the collegiate indoor mile record last week. Not to mention he's a fine, upstanding gentleman and an all-around great guy. The clip is here on Deseret News, but the thing I like even better is the second video of his teammates cheering him on while they watch the race.

Biting my Nails, or Lack Thereof

Remember how I used to bite my nails? Well, I'm pleased to inform you that I gave it up.

I've become a bona-fide-emery-board-using female.

I might have also become a little obsessive about the frequency of nail filing because I still can't handle having nails that are even remotely close to anything like long.

This maybe still classifies on the obsessive compulsive spectrum, but I feel somehow better about it?

That is all.

Cooking Fail

Remember the time I tried to make sweet potato fries for dinner at the same time as popcorn and caramel sauce for home evening?

Based on the black popcorn and sweet potatoes I just took to the dumpster and the toxic fumes that are wafting through my apartment, I think we can assume that it didn't turn out so well.

But if you want to smell like a burnt out truck stop, come on over, I'll totally share my plain caramel sauce with you. Seriously, I'm that thoughtful.

The Babe

To My Bike, Sometimes Referred to as "The Babe,"
Remember when I tipped over on you on the sidewalk the other day because your chain didn't quite catch right? And remember how those girls came over to help me as I was laying on the ground deciding if my shoulder was dislocated? (Luckily it wasn't). My favorite part? The short girl who picked you up and said, "Your bike's almost as tall as I am!"

Public Displays of Affection

When I was 20, my friend John B. taught me a great lesson about appropriate public displays of affection. It goes like this:

Only display affection in public if you'd feel comfortable doing the same thing with your mom.

Sound weird?
Let's put it to the test.

Kissing on the cheek?
Fine.
Holding hands?
Fine.
Hugging?
Fine.

Kissing on the lips like 90 times?
Not fine.

Are you convinced?
'Cause I'm sold.

Multitasking Win

Reading a book for my PROJECT while walking to Trendy X-change in the sunshine. I would've won even if I didn't buy a long black dress for only $7.20. But I did. So I think that means I am the champion.

Bike Computer

Took this shot on Tuesday. It was actually 36 degrees at the time. It appears my computer and I are equally optimistic about an early spring, even if Punxsutawney Phil isn't.
